My name is Linda Bakodi and I’m an Illustrator and Graphic Designer based in East London. I started drawing and painting at a very young age and art has always been the part of my life.
I studied Visual Communication in Aberdeen College and Multimedia Development at Robert Gordon University.
After having moved to London, I was selected for an interesting internship opportunity to kick-off my career as a designer in a media company.
My main responsibilities were data visualisation, creating illustrations for the company’s blog and storyboards. After three months, I was offered a permanent position as a Junior Designer where I was able to work together with the art director creating media proposals for clients.
I also worked for five months in a well-known travel brand where I designed the annual report and worked together with the product design team developing new features for the company’s app. I was also involved with the social media team creating illustrations for the blog and in the company’s general design needs.
In my personal projects, I like to use traditional media blending with digital techniques. I scan my sketches first and then I import them to Photoshop where I use textures on different layers to give depth to my final outcomes.
